PBIS: Exploring the Framework through Tier 2/3

PBIS: Exploring the Framework through Tier 2/3 Join us for an overview of the core components of Tier 2 PBIS implementation using the outline of the PBIS Blueprint to address executive and Implementation functions. We will address training and coaching plans and the importance of having an evaluation plan. Participants will leave with an action plan addressing each area of the PBIS Blueprint.

Tier 2 Leadership & Readiness

This training is designed for district/building level leadership including administrators, clinicians, tier 2 team members, teacher leaders that represent the district/building, etc. It is recommended that teams attend with administrators, as the focus of this training is on systems features of Tier 2 work and the barriers that get in the way of doing it successfully. Those with authority to make systems-based decisions need to be present.

Tier 2 Systems & CICO

Capacity Building Model

This capacity building model is suitable for teams new to installing and implementing tier 2 systems and Check-in, Check-out (CICO) or need a re-boot to their current implementation overall. Teams will develop the capacity to install and implement effective and efficient systems for layering targeted interventions for students. This series includes initial training and on-going technical assistance.

Tier 2 Team Booster

This booster is designed for school teams who have already been trained in Tier 2 Team Training and want another dose of the same concepts taught in Tier 2.  (This training is not intended to be a full Tier 2 training, but rather an opportunity for folks who were already trained 2+ years ago, have a new team member on the Tier 2 team, or simply want to hear the latest and greatest messages again).  This Tier 2 Booster is aligned with the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) and will give teams the opportunity to self assess in each of the 13 components of Tier 2.  Teams will have some time to work on creating an action plan aligned with each component and will hopefully leave with a concrete action plan to improve their implementation.

Tier 2 SEB Groups: Building a Continuum of Groups Beyond CICO

This training is intended for district leaders and tier 2 coordinators from school teams across the district. Our research and implementation experience indicate that higher fidelity of implementation and outcomes are achieved when there is a district coordinated continuum of supports. While each school in your district may have varying student needs, using consistent language and procedures to select, define and implement a continuum of targeted interventions across the district will lead to more efficient and effective district support and improved student outcomes.

FBA-BIP Follow Up

Plan TA

This session is specifically designed for FBA/BIP facilitators who have already been trained in FBA/BIP and are currently developing individualized plans for students.  In this session we will use live student plans to dig deeper and gain a greater understanding of how to do Function Based Assessments so that the hypothesis statement is accurate and can guide the BIP development process, how to identify function-based strategies to help strengthen the BIPs, and how to continue to help our stakeholders engage in function-based thinking to make our plans as effective as possible.
