Unless otherwise noted:

  • Registration closes two (2) business days prior to each event.

  • Cancellations received in writing via email to support@midwestpbis.org no later than two (2) business days prior to the event will be refunded, minus a 5% service charge to cover non-refundable expenses to the Midwest PBIS Network.

  • If you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for full payment of your registration fee. Substitutions may be made at any time.

Virtual PBIS Leadership Forum

October 26-28, 2021

This 3-day virtual forum for school, state, district, and regional Leadership Teams and other professionals has been designed to increase the effectiveness of PBIS implementation. Check our event website more information, and follow our Facebook page for updates.

A free, one hour overview where we cover the what, why, & how of PBIS, and answer questions to help you assess your next steps.

District Leadership/Coaching (Alignment of Initiatives)

Join us for an overview of the core components of district leadership and coaching. We will be using the outline of the PBIS Blueprint to address executive and Implementation functions. We will address executive functions focusing the PBIS Blueprint. We will look at stake-holder engagement, funding and alignment, district policies and workforce capacity. Participants will leave with an action plan addressing each area of the PBIS Blueprint.

Tier 1

Join us for an overview of the core components of Tier 1 PBIS implementation using the outline of the PBIS Blueprint to address executive and Implementation functions. We will address training and coaching plans and the importance of having an evaluation plan. Participants will leave with an action plan addressing each area of the PBIS Blueprint.

Tier 2/3: Necessary Systems & Overview of Continuum

This training session is designed to help teams and schools develop the capacity for an effective and efficient continuum of Tier II supports for youth. School teams will be supported in the establishment of a Secondary Systems Planning Team, learning how to use universal data to target groups of students in need of Tier II support and assessing the fidelity of interventions/supports provided. Teams will explore the critical features of Tier II interventions and how they are applied to the Check-in Check-out (CICO) intervention and the systems and data necessary for successful installation.

Mental Health Integration & Changing the Role of Clinician

Join us for an overview of the core components of mental health integration and the changing role of the clinician using the outline of the PBIS Blueprint to address executive and Implementation functions. We will look at stake-holder engagement, funding and alignment, district policies and workforce capacity. Participants will leave with an action plan addressing each area of the PBIS Blueprint.

Exploring the PBIS Framework through Integration of Multiple initiatives (RP, Trauma, SEB, culture of Staff Wellness, etc.)

Join us for an overview of the core components of the integration of multiple initiatives (RP, trauma, SEL, culture of staff wellness) using the outline of the PBIS Blueprint to address executive and Implementation functions. We will address training and coaching plans and the importance of having an evaluation plan. Participants will leave with an action plan addressing each area of the PBIS Blueprint.

TIPS Foundations & Data-based Decision Making

Join us for an overview of the core components of TIPS Foundations and DBDM using the outline of the PBIS Blueprint to address executive and Implementation functions. We will address training and coaching plans and the importance of having an evaluation plan. Participants will leave with an action plan addressing each area of the PBIS Blueprint.

Individual Capacity Building Events

Administrator Academies (IL)

School administrators and coaches will prepare to lead their school through the planning and implementation of PBIS. These leaders will learn the critical features of PBIS, and understand the integration of classroom management practices into Tier 1. Participants will also learn about coaching and team facilitation roles, use of behavioral data for decision-making, and progress-monitoring for fidelity of implementation and student outcomes.

Coaches Network Meetings

Coaches can expect to leave these free, monthly Network Meetings with updates, tools, resources, and exemplar examples of implementation to bring back and use with their own district PBIS Teams. This school year there will be three strands (i.e., Tier 1, Tier 2, Innovation) for focus. Plan to join all or select based upon your district/school action plan.

Tier 1 Team Training Cohort

This capacity building model is suitable if you are new to PBIS or need to re-boot your current implementation overall. PBIS is more likely to be successful when supported by district leadership. See below for more information regarding research on successful implementation. Many states have capacity building plans starting at the state level.

Tier 2 Team Training Cohort

The training supports development or improvement of necessary components of Tier 2 installation, while confirming necessary components of Tier 1 implementation. Action plans are developed based on current context with progress towards high fidelity implementation.
