Centering Equity, Inclusion & Belonging in a PBIS Framework:
A Leadership Series
This learning series will offer PBIS implementation leaders the opportunity to refine and enhance their efforts of centering equity, inclusion and belonging in their PBIS frameworks. Following the 5 point intervention approach for enhancing equity in school discipline, participants will engage in five 90 minute virtual sessions designed to equip them with foundational skills, practices, and processes to address disproportionate outcomes in disciplinary practices. Sessions will also offer the opportunity for leaders to learn from each other and share their experiences in this work.

Directors of Equity, Culture and Climate, Discipline, Social Emotional Learning, MTSS, District PBIS Team Leaders, Building Based Administrators, Building Based Tier 1 Coaches, Teacher Leaders
What is included?
Five 90 minute virtual sessions delivered across five months
What will I be able to do?
Leaders will engage in a collaborative experience to enhance core knowledge of PBIS implementation centering equitable practices.
Leaders will engage in opportunities to evaluate their current system with an equity mindset and emphasis on data, practices and outcomes.
Leaders will describe their role and responsibilities in building capacity in their core teams.
Leaders will be provided strategies for alignment to create spaces of belonging for every learner and adult.
Why should I participate?
Racial and ethnic inequities in school discipline are widespread and persistent, even in schools implementing PBIS with fidelity. Yet integrating components of a multicomponent equity-centered approach into existing tiered frameworks is showing promise for improving equity in student outcomes. This series will provide leaders the opportunity to refine and enhance their efforts of centering equity, inclusion and belonging in their PBIS frameworks.
